- Pre-operational check of the forklift truck
- Inspection of the worksite
- Identification of work site hazards
- Selection of control measures
- Start up check of forklift truck
- Operation of forklift truck
- Movement of loads
- Shutdown and parking procedures
- Forklift knowledge questions
The course culminates in an assessment for competency in accordance with the forklift truck national assessment instrument.
Trainees must be over 18 years of age.
Once course is completed Assessment Summary must be lodge at a Victorian Post Office within 60 days which will cost $60. This assessment summary then forms your interim ticket until your licence arrives in the mail.

- Course duration is approximately 8 hours (depending on your experience)
- Course starts at 8.00am
